Whether you need an extra bedroom, playroom, study or bathroom, a loft conversion provides a natural extension to your home when moving house is not the desired option.
From a simple Velux window type conversion all the way up to a dormer window approach with multiple rooms, we will provide a complete service from start to finish.
To ensure that there is as little disruption as possible, most works (up to and sometimes including the plastering stage) can be carried out before the stairs are installed—with materials being taken up via the scaffolding. This allows you to continue with your life as normal while the work is carried out.
We are committed to providing our customers with the highest level of service possible—conducting all work to exacting standards and a detailed, quality finish tailored to meet your specific requirements.
CLARO Design and Build - Loft Conversion Gallery: Montpelier, Bristol, 2018
Two-bedroom loft conversion with en-suite bathroom. Located in conservation area – our architect Sam worked closely with the council planning department to meet their stringent criteria. Typically, we were able to complete the majority of the structural works prior to the stairs being fitted and the ceiling being opened up. This was a critical part of the project as a new baby meant concerns that dust was minimised. We always strive to keep the property carefully protected and sealed throughout the duration of the job.
We hired Rick and Claro Design to convert our attic from an open space into two bedrooms and a bathroom. We were very happy with the standard of the work and the experience of having the job done (while we lived in the house). Rick's team were all unfailingly polite and worked to a very high standard in all the various trades. Rick managed the whole project from beginning to end and was consistently on hand to oversee, advise and get stuck in. The communication was excellent and the end result beautiful. Would most definitely recommend!

Rick involved me in all the key stages of the loft conversion. This was invaluable—it meant I was involved from the start and kept in the loop for all the vital decisions - some that were critical to a great outcome. Such "hand-holding" was ideal to someone inexperienced, and it went down to the level of taps and tiles—with the various pros and cons of the possible options clearly explained. The end result is a beautiful space with amazing view of our new city, and we are delighted with it.
